As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, college students have been largely impacted and are faced with unexpected educational, financial and social challenges. This added stress may cause a detour along the path of recovery, if appropriate management and treatment are not prioritized.
For college-aged students who choose to participate, The Renfrew Center has integrated specialized programming into all levels of care including Residential, Virtual Day Treatment and Virtual Intensive Outpatient to address the many challenges students face while trying to balance recovery in the midst of a global pandemic.
Discussion covers the following topics:
• Social isolation
• Meals at home versus on-campus
• Balancing the new normal of academics
• Exercise culture
• Self-care practices
• Identifying new supports
• Navigating family dynamics
