The Renfrew Center of Atlanta, Georgia is an outpatient facility specializing in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating as well as the full range of eating disorders. We reinforce a sense of community by helping patients recognize shared themes and struggles. Programming at the Atlanta location consists of a comprehensive range of in-person and virtual options including Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Services.

Welcome to the heart of Renfrew! Our clinical team is comprised of leaders in the eating disorder field who create personalized treatment plans and provide the highest quality care to you or your loved one.

LCMHCS, LPC, CEDS-S Regional Assistant Vice President
Ms. Edwards-Gayfield oversees the clinical and administrative operations of the Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Orlando, FL; and West Palm Beach, FL locations. Additionally, she also serves as Co-Chair for Renfrew’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. A Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in North Carolina, she received her Master’s degree in Counseling from UNC at Charlotte. Ms. Edwards-Gayfield has extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders with special interest in women’s issues, relationship concerns, depression and anxiety, self-esteem and body image. Ms. Edwards-Gayfield is an advocate for the awareness of eating disorders affecting Black, Indigenous and People of Color. Ms. Edwards-Gayfield is a frequent presenter at local and national conferences, primarily discussing eating disorders and diversity. Ms. Edwards-Gayfield is a member of several professional organizations, a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Approved Supervisor (CEDS-S) of iaedp™ and is the former Co-Chair of the African American Eating Disorder Professionals Committee (AAEDP). She also contributed a chapter in the recently published book, Treating Black Women with Eating Disorders: A Clinician’s Guide.

DO, FAPA, CEDS Psychiatrist
Dr. Poline is a double-board certified practitioner in child and adolescent as well as adult psychiatry, specializing in eating disorders, anxiety, mood, and child behavioral disorders. She provides highly individualized and collaborative outpatient psychiatric care in her private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Poline received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology at Washington University in St. Louis and completed her post-graduate training in Adult Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Prior to joining Renfrew, Dr. Poline served as Medical Director of The Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders as well as Medical Director at Veritas Collaborative’s outpatient clinic. She is a member of the Medical Advisory Board of Eating Disorder Information Network (EDIN) and is an elected Medical Liaison for the Atlanta Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). Dr. Poline was presented with the inaugural award of “Exceptional Women in Medicine” in 2017, 2021 and recognized as one of the “Top Docs of Atlanta” by Castle Connelly in 2017-2021.
