The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia – Center City, Pennsylvania is an outpatient facility specializing in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating as well as the full range of eating disorders. We reinforce a sense of community by helping patients recognize shared themes and struggles. Programming at the Philadelphia – Center City location consists of a comprehensive range of in-person and virtual options including Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Services.
Our location is convenient for Pennsylvania and Delaware residents, and allows patients to easily transition between all levels of care including Residential treatment at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia – Spring Lane, PA, just ten miles away. Outpatient services are also available nearby at The Renfrew Center of Radnor, PA.

MA, LPC Regional Assistant Vice President
Kristin Szostak, MA, LPC, is the Regional Assistant Vice President of The Renfrew Centers of Radnor, PA, Philadelphia – Center City, PA, Pittsburgh, PA and Mt. Laurel, NJ. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. Prior to stepping into her current role, she was the Site Director of The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia-Center City. Ms. Szostak has extensive experience in leadership, administration and direct care, serving those in recovery from eating disorders, substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders and individuals in the criminal justice system. She has also worked in a multitude of community agencies where she provided personalized and complete care. Ms. Szostak strives earnestly to develop and foster connections as she walks with individuals along their journey to recovery and a full return to living. She has been with Renfrew since 2019.

MS, LPC Site Director
Bridget Shertzer, MS, LPC (she/her/hers), is the Site Director of The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia-Center City. Bridget obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She has extensive experience in direct client care, having previously worked case management in community mental health and various higher levels of care. Ms. Shertzer started at The Renfrew Center in 2017 as a Utilization Review Coordinator for the Philadelphia residential site, where she gained expertise in patient advocacy and navigating managed care systems. In 2019, she took on the role of Primary Therapist and was a part of the opening team for the Philadelphia-Center City site. She was later promoted to Team Leader in 2022 before taking on her new role as Site Director.

Victoria Hecker, MA, R-DMT is the Team Leader at The Renfrew Center of Center City – Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts and her Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Drexel University. Victoria has extensive experience working in various higher levels of care, focusing on eating disorders, substance use, trauma and folks experiencing homelessness. She has been with Renfrew since 2022, having initially served as a group therapist at The Renfrew Center of Southern New Jersey.
