Meeting You Where You Are
Renfrew offers various levels of eating disorder treatment virtually as part of our dedication to tailoring care to each individual’s unique needs. Participants engage with therapists and each other online to explore emotions, develop strategies and achieve recovery goals. Renfrew’s staff is fully trained in telehealth best practices and uses HIPAA-compliant technology to deliver therapy, support, consultations, and high-quality treatment that mirrors our in-person programs.
The Renfrew Center’s Virtual Eating Disorder Treatment Programs
Virtual Day Treatment
Day Treatment is held five days per week and is designed for those leaving Residential care who need additional structure, and for individuals who need a much higher level of Outpatient support.
Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program
Renfrew’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is held three times per week and is ideal for individuals who need greater support than traditional Outpatient therapy.
Virtual Group Therapy
Renfrew’s Virtual Therapy Groups are held weekly for participants who struggle with disordered eating or who are working towards recovery from an eating disorder. Virtual Group Therapy is available nationwide.
Our research shows no difference between patients who receive virtual and those who receive in-person treatment—all show the same decrease in:
- Eating disorder symptoms
- Experiential avoidance
- Relational connection with the treatment team
