The Renfrew Center of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is an outpatient facility specializing in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating as well as the full range of eating disorders. We reinforce a sense of community by helping patients recognize shared themes and struggles. Programming at the Pittsburgh location consists of a comprehensive range of in-person and virtual options including Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Services.
Our location is convenient for Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia residents, and allows patients to easily transition between all levels of care, including Residential treatment at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia – Spring Lane, PA.

Welcome to the heart of Renfrew! Our clinical team is comprised of leaders in the eating disorder field who create personalized treatment plans and provide the highest quality care to you or your loved one.
PsyD, CEDS-S Regional Assistant Vice President
Dr. Cooper oversees clinical and administrative operations of the Baltimore and Bethesda, MD; Nashville, TN and Pittsburgh, PA locations. She received her Doctorate of Psychology from Baylor University and completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. An Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University, her clinical and administrative experience includes 25 years of care in outpatient and intensive-care settings treating eating disorders, women’s issues and child and adolescent assessment/intervention. Dr. Cooper is a frequent lecturer on the topics of best practices in the treatment of eating disorders and helping mothers and daughters be authentic and resilient. She is the elected President of the Nashville iaedp (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals) chapter, and a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, National Eating Disorders Association, Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee, The Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, RenewED, and the National Academy of Professional Women.

Dr. Wentroble (she/her) received her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University and completed post-doctoral training at Western Psychiatric Institute. She served as a therapist at Western Psychiatric Institute’s Center for Overcoming Problem Eating and held student practicum placements at Western Psychiatric’s Pediatric Intensive Outpatient Clinic for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Chatham University Counseling Center and the University of Pittsburgh’s Counseling Center. Prior to joining Renfrew, Dr. Wentroble helped to develop CO-STAR (College Option-Services for Transition Age Students at Risk) a new intensive outpatient program for treating at-risk college students. Dr. Wentroble has been with The Renfrew Center of Pittsburgh since 2017.

Judy Adams (she/her/hers), MA, NCC, is the Team Leader at The Renfrew Center of Pittsburgh. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Robert Morris University, and her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University. Judy has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults with complex mental health pathologies across multiple settings including homes, schools, and residential treatment facilities. She facilitates expressive and skill-based groups, provides clinical supervision to therapists and interns, and leads the trauma programming at The Renfrew Center of Pittsburgh. She approaches each therapeutic encounter through a trauma-informed lens with curiosity, authenticity, and empathy. Ms. Adams has been with Renfrew since 2020, having initially served as a Primary Therapist for The Renfrew Center of Pittsburgh before transitioning to her new role.
