Live Your REAL Life: The Relationship Between Social Media and Authenticity

Wednesday, February 23, 2022 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Free | Interactive Webinar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Presented by: Fatema Jivanjee-Shakir, LMSW, Primary Therapist at The Renfrew Center of New York City

Held Online

Social media is often referred to as a highlight reel. Posts on platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook tend to depict only the perfect moments of our lives rather than portraying the full picture.

In recognition of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (hosted by NEDA), join us for an educational webinar where we will explore the impacts of social media on mental health, specifically as it relates to body image and disordered eating. Attendees will gain insight into the differences between authenticity and inauthenticity as well as receive tips and tools for building a healthier, more authentic relationship with social media.
