In a safe and healing community, The Renfrew Center of Radnor provides the skills to support recovery from anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating as well as the full range of eating disorders. Programming consists of a comprehensive range of services including day treatment, intensive outpatient and group therapy.

The Renfrew Center of Radnor is located at 320 King of Prussia Road in Radnor. It is directly at the intersection of Matsonford Road and King of Prussia Road. Parking is located on the premises and it is easily accessible and is within walking distance from the train station. We are handicap accessible. 


COVID-19 UPDATE:

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, The Renfrew Center of Radnor has shifted all Day and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) to a virtual platform until further notice. All of our clinical leaders have been trained in using this platform, and therapist guides and patient handbooks have been rolled out. Additionally, to support prospective patients seeking treatment during this time of uncertainty, we are still offering assessments and taking admissions at our Residential level of care in Philadelphia, PA and Coconut Creek, FL.

Meet Our Clinical Leader:

Lori Ciotti, LICSW, CEDS-S, is Vice President of Outpatient Operations at The Renfrew Center, where she has clinical and operational oversight of Renfrew's 17 non-residential sites. A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Ms. Ciotti received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and her Master of Social Work degree from Simmons College. Prior to opening Renfrew’s Massachusetts site in 2014, she was the Corporate Clinical Director for a multi-site mental health facility in the Boston area. Ms. Ciotti is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and events about the risks and treatment of eating disorders, with a focus and expertise in the unique challenges and approaches to care for college-aged clients. She has been a featured guest on radio programs to bring awareness about eating disorder and comorbid mental health issues, as well as highlighted in articles in The Boston GlobeHealth magazine, SELF magazine, and Today.com. She is a member of NASW, as well as a member and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

Jessica Hansford, LPC, CAADC, is the Site Director at The Renfrew Center of Radnor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and her Master’s degree in both Counseling and Ministry from Missio Seminary in Pennsylvania. Ms. Hansford specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety. Prior to joining Renfrew, she served as Vice President of Clinical Quality at the Livengrin Foundation and the Director of Training for the Recovery Centers of America.

The Renfrew Center is pleased to offer a new, Virtual Therapy Group for adolescent girls and women in Pennsylvania who struggle with disordered eating or who are working towards recovery from an eating disorder. 

This online, virtual therapy group offers structured care in a web-based environment. Participants actively engage with each other to explore and understand the emotions and relational functions of their disordered eating and develop strategies to connect to emotions, improve communications and achieve recovery focused goals. Group curriculum is informed by the empirically based Renfrew Center Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders®.

To get started, you will need to have access to Wi-Fi and a device such as a computer or tablet with a camera and screen.

Participants must be located in Pennsylvania.

The Renfrew Center of Radnor offers the following groups:

The Young Adult Group is tailored to women ages 19-29 who struggle with disordered eating. The group focuses on processing through eating disordered thoughts, feelings and behaviors as well as the biopsychosocial and cultural factors that apply to this phase of life. Topics of group discussion include: body image, relationships, school, work, family, and life transitions. Group members are encouraged to engage and share with each other in a safe, supportive environment.

The Thirty Something and Beyond Group helps participants 30 years of age or older explore the connections between their eating concerns and other life challenges in the family, social and occupational areas.

The Aftercare Group is for adolescent girls and women who are alumni of Renfrew’s higher levels of care and who are working towards recovery from anorexia, bulimia or disordered eating patterns involving binge eating or restricting. Led by a licensed clinician, the group provides a safe atmosphere where group members will explore eating disorder triggers as well as issues concerning body image, relationships, work, and school. Members of the group are required to be followed by an outpatient therapist in order to participate.

This group is for patients who do not require a higher level of care such as Day Treatment or IOP.
