Renfrew Has Pride: SAGE Networking Group – Meet the Team

Thursday June 8, 2023 • 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm (ET)

Free | Live Virtual Networking Event
5:00 pm – 5:30 pm (ET)

Hosted by: The Renfrew Center

Held Online via Zoom

Join us for this virtual networking event to meet The Renfrew Center’s SAGE (Sexuality and Gender Equality) team and learn about our LGBTQIA+ programming. This event is an opportunity for professionals to come together and have a conversation about diversity and inclusion, body image and identity concerns, and how to focus on eating disorder issues when they intersect with gender identity, sexual orientation and feelings of marginalization.

#RenfrewHasPride: Pride is the promotion of self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual individuals as a social group. Eating disorders are known to disproportionately impact the LGBTQIA+ community, due to unique body image  and identify concerns, social conformity pressures and body dysmorphia that is known to effect its members. This June, we are proud to announce our Renfrew Has Pride campaign that is dedicated to advocating for, empowering and treating our LGBTQIA+ community and alum. Please join us every Thursday in June to recognize and celebrate Pride month in a variety of free community or professional events dedicated exclusively to our LGBTQIA+ community members or their treating professionals.
