Wednesday, June 5, 2024 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Free | Interactive Webinar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Presented by: Jenna Patterson, MS - Primary Therapist & Alumni Representative, The Renfrew Center of Boston

Held Online

Perfectionism often serves as the false promise and harmful belief that if we are perfect, then maybe we won’t have to feel shame and pain. However, this false promise fails to recognize the reality that perfection does not exist, and shame and pain are natural parts of life. This webinar will explore perfectionism and shame, as well as the often-non-linear path of recovery. Specifically, this presentation will focus on how perfectionism shows up in eating disorders and recovery, how it serves to reinforce and create more shame and pain, and how we can learn to accept and honor ourselves through gentle, loving self-compassion.
