Leaning into Vulnerability: Navigating Communication in Recovery (Re-broadcast)

Wednesday, July 10, 2024 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Free | Rebroadcasted Webinar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Presented by: Monica Jampo, MS - Primary Therapist & Alumni Representative, The Renfrew Center of Radnor

Held Online

Communication is the foundation of all human connection. We communicate through our clothes, our facial expressions, our voice, and other nonverbal cues.

Communication gets complicated when people interpret language, tone, gestures, or ideas differently. Messages sent between us are meant to illuminate how we are feeling or what we need. However, they may not land the way we had hoped. When our needs are not met, it can leave us feeling lonely and disconnected.

This webinar will explore the different forms of communication and how these play a significant role in recovery. Specifically, this presentation will focus on the barriers to effective communication and explore practical skills to initiate challenging conversations with supports. Building awareness to our emotional needs and how we can successfully communicate them will help cultivate connection throughout the recovery process.

*Please note: this is a re-broadcast and not a live presentation.
