Renfrew’s 2025 Eating Disorders Awareness Week Campaign: Our Bodies. Our Truths.

Our Bodies. Our Truths.

The Renfrew Center is proud to join other eating disorder organizations throughout the country to celebrate Eating Disorders Awareness Week.

February 24 – March 2, 2025

Our campaign, Our Bodies. Our Truths. is dedicated to rejecting diet culture and embracing authenticity in all its forms. Through shared experiences, we honor the beauty of real, unfiltered lives. Together, we can celebrate the power of self-acceptance, speak our truths, and champion the value of living fully as we are.

External Appearance, Internal Feelings: Changing Our Approach, Not Our Bodies
    • Diet culture and other forces often promise us that if we change our bodies, that we will feel better about ourselves. But the reality is that changing our bodies doesn’t actually improve our body image. In tandem with Renfrew’s campaign for Eating Disorder Awareness Week (EDAW), Our Bodies, Our Truths, this webinar will explore the messages that tell us we must “fix” our appearance to finally feel good about ourselves, and discuss ways to reject these messages and in turn embrace authenticity. Rather than changing our bodies, we can instead dig deeper – and focus on our beliefs, thoughts, and emotions. This presentation will remind us how important it can be to detangle our appearance from our sense of ourselves and our self-worth.
