#RenfrewHasPride2025
Pride is the promotion of self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual individuals as a social group.
This June, we are proud to announce our Renfrew Has Pride campaign that is dedicated to advocating for, empowering and treating our LGBTQIA+ community and alumni. Please join us throughout the month to recognize and celebrate Pride through a variety of complimentary events.
How Do You Show Your Pride?: SAGE Art Show
Friday, June 13th, 2025 • 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm (ET)
Facilitated by: Jay Salerno, LSW, LMSW (they/them)
Celebrate Pride Month with us at an empowering virtual art show centered on self-expression and healing. Art can be a powerful tool for reflection, self-discovery, and emotional insight. Bring a completed piece of artwork—of any medium—that represents your journey toward recovery or self-acceptance. Whether your piece speaks to resilience, identity, or personal growth, this is a unique opportunity to share your story and connect with others through creative expression.
Please note: This support group is open to alumni and community members only.
SAGE Support Group
Friday, June 20th, 2025 • 4:30 pm – 5:30pm (ET)
Facilitated by: Alexandra Poole, LMSW (she/they)
Join us this Pride Month for an exclusive SAGE Support Group open to all LGBTQIA+ alumni and community members navigating eating disorder recovery. This affirming and inclusive space is designed to support conversations around body image, identity, relationships, and the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals. Guided by a trauma-informed approach, the group fosters connection, strength, and resilience. Participants are encouraged to explore how their experiences with eating disorders intersect with gender identity, sexual orientation, and feelings of marginalization.
Please note: This support group is open to alumni and community members only.
