The Renfrew Center of Radnor specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and related mental illnesses. Programming consists of a comprehensive range of services including day treatment, intensive outpatient and group therapy.

The Renfrew Center of Radnor is located at 320 King of Prussia Road in Radnor. It is directly at the intersection of Matsonford Road and King of Prussia Road. Parking is located on the premises and it is easily accessible and is within walking distance from the train station. We are handicap accessible.

The holiday season has lots of twinkle and sparkle - beauty that can sometimes take your breath away. But what about the sparkle inside of you? How do we get that to shine more brilliantly and more abundantly?

Join us for a celebratory workshop that will empower you to bring the light inside of you out and into the world. Our supportive staff will work with you to pull back any barriers that may be blocking that light and help you uncover the parts of yourself that are yearning to shine. We can’t wait to see what unfolds!

Announcements:

The Renfrew Center of Radnor offers the following groups:

The Young Adult Group
is tailored to women ages 19-29 who struggle with disordered eating. The group focuses on processing through eating disordered thoughts, feelings and behaviors as well as the biopsychosocial and cultural factors that apply to this phase of life. Topics of group discussion include: body image, relationships, school, work, family, and life transitions. Group members are encouraged to engage and share with each other in a safe, supportive environment.

The Emotional/Binge Eating Group will empower participants to understand how their feelings, actions and thoughts impact their relationship with food. Patients will work to identify and address issues that underlie their need to eat emotionally and explore new ways to deal with old problems.

Dates & Times: Meets on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm & Wednesday evenings from 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm

The Thirty Something and Beyond Group helps participants 30 years of age or older explore the connections between their eating concerns and other life challenges in the family, social and occupational areas.

Dates & Times: Meets on Tuesday Evenings from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm & Wednesday evenings from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

The Outpatient Art Therapy Group provides individuals the support and guidance needed to use art therapy as a medium to process issues central to eating disorder recovery. Issues of motivation/ambivalence, body image, relationships, self-concept, and emotional awareness will be explored.

Nutrition Support and Education Workshop provides individuals with weekend meal support and nutrition education. Facilitated by experienced Registered Dietitians, each workshop presents on a different nutritional topic that is central to outpatient recovery.
