Sam Menaged founded The Renfrew Center in 1985 as the country’s first residential eating disorder facility dedicated exclusively to the treatment of adolescent girls and women. In 1990, he opened a second residential facility in Coconut Creek, FL. Now with 19 facilitates throughout the country, Renfrew has treated more than 75,000 women and trained more than 35,000 professionals. 

The Renfrew Center continues to be a family-owned business with Sam as President and CEO, his wife Pamela working in Patient Accounts, and his daughter Vanessa as Vice President of Professional Relations and Marketing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dietitian in conducting nutrition groups and reviewing daily food journals to assess patients’ nutritional intake throughout treatment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program Director to oversee the DTP/IOP clinical programs. This includes management of program schedule, as well as training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
  • Contribute to program development and quality management initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and ongoing management for all components of the site including daily clinical and administrative operations.

Food Services Manager

The Renfrew Center of Coconut Creek, FL has an opening for a Full-Time Food Services Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing knowledge of healthcare food, nutrition, and catering trends, oversee the development of department strategic priorities and operational policies/procedures, maintaining a focus on best practices in food quality, efficiency in production, best sanitation, food cost controls, food presentation, etc.
  • Work closely with Nutrition Department to plan and prepare all regular and special diet menus.
  • Collaborate with others in administrative leadership in defining the strategic and operational plan for department. Communicate plans and continuously evaluate plans.
  • Applies knowledge of clinical nutrition, with emphasis on the needs of various levels of acute care patients, to all policy development and decision making for the department.

  • Oversees the management of the department budget. Make budgetary recommendations to entity leadership. Identify cost savings within the operation. Manage of labor expenses against productivity.
  • Provide oversight for all personnel actions in the department including, but not limited to, recruitment, performance management, professional development, career advancement, work schedules/staff deployment, employee records, etc. Demonstrate strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
  • Establish effective relationships with external agencies providing services to the organization.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing departmental education programs and strategies to achieve a high level of patient, guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

 Education, Competencies and Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Services Technology/Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary Services, Nutrition or related field is required.
  • Five years of leadership and management experience in clinical dietetics and food service management in a healthcare setting is required.
  • ServSafe Certified required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and present clinical information on each patient's progress to managed care companies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the PHP and IOP clinical programs, including selecting, supervising, coaching, and evaluating staff. Ensures appropriate staffing for programs.
  • Implementation and Supervision of Renfrew’s Unified Treatment Model. Must be creative and enthusiastic about program development and model adherence.
  • Lead therapeutic groups, individual and family sessions.

Behavioral Health Director

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and ongoing management for all components of the site including daily clinical and administrative operations.
  • Human resource management.

  • A high degree of organizational, analytical and decision-making skills are required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Clinical skills, preferably in behavioral medicine/arts and/or eating disorders are required.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement issues, including knowledge of managed care environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with managing budgets and P&L's is preferred.
  • Competency in use of various computer applications including Microsoft Office and experience with medical management software are preferred.
