The Renfrew Center Relocates its New York City Treatment Facility

The nation’s first residential eating disorder treatment facility moves its New York City outpatient treatment center to a bigger and brighter space

NEW YORK CITY (Apr 3, 2024) – The Renfrew Center, the country’s first residential eating disorder treatment facility, with 19 locations across the U.S., announced today it has relocated its New York City outpatient facility treatment center to 349 Fifth Ave, 4th Floor, on the corner of 5th Avenue and 34th Street, just two blocks away from its original site, which opened in 1994.

This new location provides more space for their experts and clinicians to treat anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and co-occurring mental health illnesses in a serene setting focused on healing. Under the continued leadership of Jillian Hartman, LMHC, Regional Assistant Vice President; Rebecca Gonley MHC-LP, MS, CASAC, Site Director; and Henry Cheng, MD, Medical Director, this beautiful facility will continue offering a comprehensive range of services including day treatment, outpatient services, intensive outpatient treatments, and virtual therapy. These programs aim to support patients in every stage of their recovery through group sessions, meal support, individual sessions with their multidisciplinary treatment team, and more.

“For over 30 years, The Renfrew Center in New York City has given access to the best level of care for cisgender women, transgender and non-binary individuals struggling with eating disorders in the biggest city in the U.S.” says Rebecca Gonley MHC-LP, MS, CASAC. “This new space allows us to treat more individuals where support is always accessible and guarantees that no one who steps through our doors will be alone on their journey to recovery.”
