About the Training

Despite promising preliminary evidence that in vivo exposure work effectively targets the fear and avoidance associated with eating disorder cycles, these interventions continue to be underutilized in treatment. Most therapists and dietitians aim to utilize empirically supported approaches in their practices; however, many opt out of exposure work reportedly due to their own lack of confidence associated with implementing these interventions and/or a misconception that clients will dislike the emotional and physical intensity of the tasks.

This virtual 1.5 CE presentation will confront the common barriers to exposure work while equipping providers with the tools needed to effectively execute a Coached Meal.
