Join The Renfrew Center for a one-hour virtual collaborative session led by Renfrew’s eating disorder clinical leaders and centered on thoughtful, case-based discussion. This general case consultation group is open to all professionals, regardless of population or practice setting.

About The Facilitators

Dr. Brooks, PhD, CEDS-C, leads the Renfrew Clinical Excellence Board, the Clinical Training Department and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. She has oversight responsibility for quality of clinical care at the Renfrew Centers in addition to administrative oversight responsibility for Renfrew’s residential facility in Florida. For the past 30 years, she has treated patients from diverse backgrounds who suffer from eating disorders. Dr. Brooks served as the eating disorders specialist in the HBO film Thin, has appeared on Good Morning America and has been featured in the following publications: The New York TimesPeople MagazineEssence Magazine and Perspectives, The Renfrew Center Foundation’s journal for professionals. Dr. Brooks is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist Supervisor, former member of the iaedp Board of Directors and former Co-Chair of the Academy of Eating Disorders Diversity Special Interest Group.

Laura Rickles, MAAT, LMHC, LCAT, ATR-BC is a Clinical Training Specialist at The Renfrew Center, where she develops and delivers clinical trainings and treatment programming grounded in the Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders. With more than eight years of experience as a therapist and art therapist across residential, day treatment, outpatient, and hospital-based settings, Laura specializes in eating disorders, trauma-informed care, emotion-focused treatment, and experiential therapies. She is a frequent presenter on eating disorder treatment, clinician wellness, and creative interventions. Laura currently serves as a clinical supervisor for Creative Arts Therapy at Renfrew.
