Under Pressure: Eating Disorder Recovery in the Era of Ozempic

Under Pressure: Eating Disorder Recovery in the Era of Ozempic

Wednesday, February 28, 2024 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Free | Professional Webinar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Presented by: Samantha DeCaro, PsyD - Director of Clinical Outreach and Education, The Renfrew Center

Held Online

Navigating eating disorder recovery is challenging enough without the oppressive forces of weight stigma and countless products peddled by the diet industry. With the increased exposure of Ozempic and other semaglutide injections, the temptation to pursue weight loss can feel even more unmanageable and the barrage of mixed messages can be entirely disorienting. Whether the pressure is coming from the media, a med spa, a loved one, or a medical provider, clients will likely bring their thoughts and emotions around body image, weight stigma, and semaglutides to therapy. This webinar will offer an overview of semaglutide products, highlight the impacts of weight stigma, and provide practical tools to navigate these difficult conversations in sessions.
