Standing Up and Speaking Out: Becoming Your Own Advocate

Wednesday, May 21, 2025 • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Free | Interactive Webinar
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (ET)

Presented by: Erin Birely, LCPC - Alumni Services Coordinator, The Renfrew Center

Held Online

When we think of advocacy, we often envision a scene on Capitol Hill to advance legislation or attending a protest for a cause we care about. It’s important to remember though that advocacy happens in small, everyday moments as well, where we advocate for our own needs and values.

This webinar will discuss eating disorder advocacy on a personal scale, in everyday environments such as in doctor’s offices, with family and friends, and through starting important conversations. This presentation will focus on using values to guide these forms of advocacy, empowering participants to become their own advocates in their recovery journey.
