About the Training

Many clients with eating disorders appear high-functioning-successful, insightful and medically ‘stable’ – yet carry significant, overlooked severity. These presentations are frequently under-recognized across settings, leading to delayed intervention, ethical uncertainty, and well-intended approaches that may inadvertently reinforce the disorder.

This 2CE presentation will provide a transdiagnostic approach to assess and treat eating disorders in high-functioning clients with particular relevance to college-aged and emerging adults. Attendees will learn skills to support emotion regulation, identity development, and value-aligned decision making. Emphasis will be placed on identifying ‘invisible’ symptoms, exploring systemic influences, and using practices beyond insight development.
