Wednesday, June 30, 2021 • 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm (EDT)

Presented by: Samantha Jakus, MS, Creative Arts Therapist, The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia – Center City, PA

Held Online

Ever wonder why you partook in an eccentric movement group or were asked to use art materials to convey your innermost self during treatment? Art therapy is a useful approach that promotes self-expression and allows individuals to communicate their emotions in a unique way. Through this process, participants often increase their own awareness and find alternate coping strategies to use during challenging times.

Led by Samantha Jakus, MS, Creative Arts Therapist at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia – Center City, this webinar will explore the benefits art therapy provides to those in eating disorder recovery or those struggling with body image concerns. Attendees will learn how (and why) the creative process is applied in treatment and will leave with tools to use in their own recovery journeys.
