United in Healing: Collaborative Approaches in Eating Disorder Treatment

Join us at the 35th Annual Renfrew Center Foundation Conference, where collaboration takes center stage in the evolving field of eating disorders. This dynamic event brings together pioneers in our industry to share emerging research and innovative practices, all aimed at embracing evidence-based and culturally-adapted care. With a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration between healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates, we are creating a shared commitment to healing. This Virtual Conference is designed to foster partnerships across specialties and intersecting fields of study, such as anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance use disorders and more. Together, we can advance the field and offer more effective solutions for those on their recovery journey.
Among the topics to be addressed:
- Athletes
- Comorbid diagnoses & lesser-known EDs
- Culturally Adapted Treatments
- Experts with Lived Experience
- Harm Reduction
- Marginalized Communities
- Neurodivergence
- Social Media Influence on Mental Health
- Underserved Populations (e.g, Men, Midlife, Veterans)
- Weight Stigma
Accepted proposals should focus on one of the Conference’s four core program tracks:
- Feminist Relational
- Evidence-Based Practices
- Diversity
- Skill Development
Workshop Submissions
Workshops should offer practical skills for clinicians and/or an examination of theoretical concepts in a particular subject area.
Virtual On-Demand Workshops will be 2 hours.
Required Components & Presentation Guidelines
The following information MUST be uploaded as part of your submission:
- Title
- Abstract (150 words max)
- Brochure Description (75 words max)
- 3 Learning Objectives
- Presentation Outline/Timeline
- Presenter Information
- Workshop References (5 minimum in APA-7 format, 3 of which must have been published within the past 5 years). Please reference this guide to ensure your citations are correctly formatted.
- 15 item, multiple choice post-test questions. 4 choices per item. *please do not use “none of the above” or “all of the above” as items.
Guidelines:
- Presentations must relate to the Conference theme and meet stated learning objectives.
- Handouts MUST be provided to attendees. This could include PowerPoint slides, bibliography and/or resources. All accepted presenters must submit handouts by June 6, 2025.
- Whenever possible, integrate relevant clinical examples and case material.
- All presentations should be inclusive and acknowledge diversity.
- Do not plan to read your presentation.
- Presenters are required to submit signed disclosures once accepted onto the program. These are required by credentialing boards and will be sent to you once you have been accepted to the 2025 program.
- Workshop recordings will be scheduled for summer 2025.

Workshop Proposal Notification
Workshop Proposals must be submitted by MARCH 6, 2025 by 11:59pm EST. No submissions will be accepted after this deadline. Only one proposal per person should be submitted either as a primary or secondary presenter.
Notification of proposal acceptance will be sent via email by mid-April 2025.
