About the Training
This dynamic 2 CE presentation will review the complexities of co-occurring eating disorders and OCD. Review of current literature and case examples will highlight the challenges of differential diagnosis and treatment planning. Participants will engage in discussion related to evidence-based practices including the use of exposure, building a comprehensive treatment team, and navigating pitfalls. Participants will receive practical guidance to effectively and competently work with patients in various treatment settings.

- The Renfrew Center Foundation has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5852. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Renfrew Center Foundation is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

About the Presenter
Melanie Smith, PhD, LMHC, CEDS-C, is the Director of Training for The Renfrew Center. In this role she is responsible for developing and implementing clinical training and programming that is consistent with emerging research and evidence-based practice. Dr. Smith is co-author of the peer-reviewed treatment manual and patient workbook, The Renfrew Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders and Comorbidity published by Oxford University Press. Dr. Smith is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Approved Supervisor and is a Certified Therapist & Trainer of the Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP).
