About the Training
Treating adolescent mental health issues has never been for the faint of heart. The challenges of treating this population have now been amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic causing clinicians to seek new ways to address ever increasing acuity.
In this virtual 2 CE presentation, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on adolescent mental health will be explored with specific focus on the treatment of eating disorders. Evidence-based practices for treating this population will be provided with additional focus on creating a sense of connectedness through the therapeutic relationship and in group and family therapy. Special considerations for clinicians will be discussed as we all seek to evolve and heal from systemic and collective trauma.
