About the Training
As medications like semaglutide gain widespread attention, individuals with eating disorders may experience heightened pressure to intentionally pursue weight loss. This workshop provides an overview of semaglutide-based products, a critical review of current research, and an examination of their implications for eating disorder treatment and recovery. Participants will explore the impact of weight stigma, ethical considerations, and the potential for these medications to exacerbate symptoms or interfere with long-term recovery goals. Practical tools will equip clinicians to navigate these complex conversations, implement weight-neutral interventions, challenge beliefs rooted in weight stigma, and explore strategies to reduce harm.
This presentation is hosted by Rock Recovery.
