The Renfrew Center of Connecticut specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and related mental illnesses. Programming consists of a comprehensive range of services including day treatment, intensive outpatient and group therapy.

The Renfrew Center of Connecticut is less than one mile from interstate 95 and is located in Old Greenwich CT, exit 5 off 95, 1445 East Putnam Ave (also known as RT 1). There is public transportation that stops directly in front of the site, two hundred yards from the front entrance. Additionally, there are designated parking spaces in front of the site, which is easily accessible from the Metro North and Amtrak train terminal in downtown Stamford, CT.


Meet Our Clinical Leader:

Lori Ciotti, LICSW, CEDS, is the Regional Assistant Vice President of Operations for The Renfrew Centers. Ms. Ciotti received her Bachelor's degree from Tufts University and her Master's degree in Social Work from Simmons College. Prior to opening Renfrew’s Massachusetts site in 2014, she was the Corporate Clinic Director for a multi-site mental health facility in the Boston area. Ms. Ciotti is a frequent speaker at professional events and on college campuses about the risks and treatment of eating disorders, and has been featured in The Boston Globe, Health magazine, SELF magazine, and Today.com.

The Renfrew Center of Connecticut offers the following groups:

The Aftercare Group* is for adolescent girls and women who are working toward recovery from anorexia, bulimia or disordered eating patterns involving binge eating or restricting. Led by a licensed clinician, the group provides a safe atmosphere where group members will explore eating disorder triggers as well as issues concerning body image, relationships, work and school.

The Emotional Eating Group* provides a safe and supportive environment in which women can explore the emotional, behavioral and interpersonal factors influencing their eating behaviors as well as their feelings, thoughts and beliefs about their bodies. While focusing on the underlying issues of emotional and binge eating, participants gain the skills and confidence to tolerate a range of internal emotional experiences without resorting to the use of eating disorder symptoms. This group also addresses issues related to family, work, relationships, and phase of life struggles so that individuals can explore lifestyle changes that promote recovery.

*These groups are open to Renfrew alumni as well as community members seeking outpatient support. Members are required to be followed by an outpatient therapist in order to participate.
