About the Training
A powerful paradigm shift is underway in our field, moving our conceptualization of human behavior from “what’s wrong with you?” to “what happened to you?”
This 2 CE training will explore the benefits of treating eating disorders and trauma concurrently through an emotion-focused, transdiagnostic approach, The Renfrew Unified Treatment Model. By integrating the concepts and interventions of Cognitive Processing Therapy, participants will develop an in-depth understanding of emotional disorders, experiential avoidance, and themes of safety, trust, power and control, esteem and intimacy. Through analyzing a complex case study, we will learn just how much the story matters in forming the basis for authentic connection and healing.
