About the Training

The power of self-compassion is applicable for both patient and clinician and serves as an essential ingredient in body image work. Self-compassion allows clinicians to respond to clients with their body as guide, thus creating and modeling the truth and authenticity so essential to their clients’ well-being. When clinicians are able to recognize, through their own internal responses, an understanding of their client’s words, gestures and movements, the therapeutic alliance is greatly enhanced.

During this 2 CE training, attendees will learn to help “patients be patient” as they embrace compassion for themselves and others and explore the role body image plays in their recovery.
