Enhancing Positive Body Image in Adolescent Clients:
Providing Effective Care in Today’s Image-Focused Culture
Presented by: Chelsea Woodard, LPC-MHSP
Site Director, The Renfrew Center of Nashville
Wednesday, August 26, 2020
This webinar will provide cutting-edge information for understanding and exploring the intricacies of treating negative body image in teens. The rise of social media and the impact of peer relationships often provide a breeding ground for clinical issues to emerge in even the most “grounded” of those in the adolescent population.
Interventions targeting this age group will be provided to help clinicians develop skills to combat the negative effects of the quest for body perfection and build the trust and respect so essential for a therapeutic alliance to develop.
