All About Eating Disorders:
Learning the Basics of Virtual Treatment

Presented by: Kristen Ulrich, LICSW
Site Director at The Renfrew Center of Boston

Wednesday, April 28, 2021
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (EDT)

Eating disorders are complex illnesses that show no favoritism— they affect individuals of all genders, ages, races, religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Serious and often fatal, they are commonly associated with severe disturbances in eating behaviors, disordered thinking, and emotions. In today’s world, non-residential treatment has shifted to a virtual platform which has proven to be an effective method of care.

This webinar will begin with a short review of how to identify when a client may be struggling with an eating disorder. In addition, attendees will be provided with evidence-based treatment options successfully utilized by Renfrew clinicians. The basics of virtual treatment, how to best utilize assessment tools and tips on how to identify a client’s need for a higher level of care will be addressed.
