The Renfrew Center Opens New Facility in Mount Laurel, NJ
The Renfrew Center, the nation’s first and largest network of eating disorder treatment facilities, opened a non-residential facility in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey on January 23, 2012. The new site is Renfrew’s eleventh location and, like all of its centers, specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and related mental illnesses.
Programming at The Renfrew Center of Mt. Laurel consists of a comprehensive range of services, including day treatment, intensive outpatient, individual, family and couples therapy, group therapy, and nutritional and psychiatric consultation. “We’re excited to bring our experience to the South Jersey area,” said Samuel E. Menaged, JD, Founder and President of The Renfrew Centers. “We selected Mt. Laurel after receiving feedback from local patients and professionals and observing an overwhelming demand for services in the area.”
The Renfrew Center is one of the only specialized eating disorder treatment facilities that works directly with most major insurance companies. Treatment is backed by experienced staff members specializing in the psychology of eating disorders and Renfrew’s philosophy is to encourage people to participate actively in their own growth and recovery.
The Renfrew Center, the pioneer in eating disorder treatment and research, has treated more than 60,000 women with eating disorders and other behavioral health issues and trained more than 25,000 professionals. It has facilities in Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
