The Renfrew Center Foundation Showcases More Than 20 Pieces of Artwork by Women in Recovery from Eating Disorders
The traveling art show, The Art of Recovery, will be on display at Chestnut Hill College
WHAT: The Renfrew Center Foundation showcased its traveling art show, The Art of Recovery, at Chestnut Hill College on Friday, April 12, 2013. The artwork, created by young adults and women recovering from eating disorders at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia, offered an in-depth look at the complexity and journey from eating disorders to recovery.
The Renfrew Center’s art therapist, Sondra Rosenberg, ATR-BC, and featured artists provided interpretation of the powerful themes contained within the images. Each piece of artwork on display was accompanied by a plaque which helped attendees understand the inner lives of those who struggle with an eating disorder and the intricacy of the healing process.
