Feminist Relational Perspectives and Beyond:
Integrating Science, Creativity and Clinical Wisdom
November 10-12, 2017
Philadelphia Airport Marriott
Offering 18 CEs/CMEs
Being a highly effective eating disorder therapist is a process, not a destination. As our patient population has become increasingly more complex and diverse, research has continued to add to the growing body of evidence-based practices (EBPs). Clinicians face the daunting task of mastering the new, cutting edge treatment approaches and integrating them into our well-established and uniquely nuanced practices.
Conference 2017 will explore the challenge of learning and integrating new knowledge and skills into clinical practice at different stages in the professional "lifespan". The importance of supervision, clinical wisdom, intuition, and creativity will be examined and woven into all aspects of the program. Evidence-based treatment approaches and the role of research will be given special emphasis.
Among the Featured Topics: Transdiagnostic Treatment; Diverse and Underserved Populations; Body-Oriented Practice; Relational/Cultural Theory Skill Development; Intersectionality; Nutrition Therapy; Interpersonal Neurobiology Families; Emotional Tolerance; Body Shaming and Stigma.
*Applications accepted June 1-30, 2017.
