The Renfrew Center of Connecticut
The Renfrew Center of Connecticut specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, EDNOS, binge eating disorder, and related mental illnesses. Programming consists of a comprehensive range of services, including day treatment, intensive outpatient and group therapy.
The Renfrew Center of Connecticut is less than one mile from interstate 95 and is located in Old Greenwich CT, exit 5 off 95, 1445 East Putnam Ave (also known as RT 1). There is public transportation that stops directly in front of the site, two hundred yards from the front entrance. Additionally, there are designated parking spaces in front of the site, which is easily accessible from the Metro North and Amtrak train terminal in downtown Stamford, CT.
The Renfrew Center of Connecticut offers a group for emotional eaters.
This group provides a safe and supportive environment in which women can explore the emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal factors influencing their eating behaviors and the feelings, thoughts, and beliefs about their bodies. While focusing on a change in eating behavior from eating without regard to eating mindfully and to satiety, employing hunger and satiety cues, this group also addresses issues related to family, work, relationships, and phase of life so that individuals can explore lifestyle changes that promote recovery.
This group will be led by Judy Mosesso, MSW, Primary Therapist at The Renfrew Center of Connecticut. For more information, contact 1-800-RENFREW.
