Sexuality and Eating Disorders: An Overlooked Treatment Issue

This webinar will address sexual health concerns and intimacy/relational issues that arise in the presence of an eating disorder. The common underlying dynamics of ED symptoms and sexualized behavior, the emotional life of body image, and the questioning of the sexual/emotional self will be explored through the lens of assessment and treatment of the adolescent and adult population. Case examples will highlight the theoretical concepts in this webinar.

About the Presenter: Constance Quinn, DSW, LCSW-R is the Site Director at The Renfrew Center of New York. Prior to her work with Renfrew, she spent 17 years working at various levels of government including The Veterans Administration the FDR Campus Inpatient Psychiatry Program, The NY State Office of Mental Health and the NY State Juvenile Justice System. She holds faculty appointments at both Columbia and Adelphi Schools of Social Work and has a private practice in New York City dealing exclusively with issues relating to sexual health.
