This webinar will provide an overview of mindfulness and its use as a powerful tool in the treatment of eating disorders. Mindfulness, known also as present-focused awareness, is the practice of anchoring into the present moment and observing one's inner and outer world without judgment. Professionals will discover how eating disorder symptoms often become maladaptive behavioral strategies by which clients can escape their primary or secondary emotional experience. Attendees will gain clarity around the true goals of mindfulness and take away concrete interventions to use in their practices. Webinar content will provide skills to assist both clients and clinicians to effectively anchor into all components of their emotional experiences.
