Everyone has a story. In this webinar, Rachel Tenny, MA, LPCA, Renfrew’s Alumni Coordinator, will be joined by Emily Vollmer, Renfrew Alumna, who will share her own personal story. Emily will talk about where her journey has led her but, more importantly, where her journey is taking her now.
We will use this opportunity to think together about how we move ahead in health and happiness, building a magnificent life and a great story in our recovery. We encourage you to take time and open yourself to this very special webinar as we celebrate recovery!
About the Presenters:
Rachel Tenny, MA, LPCA, is Renfrew's Alumni Coordinator and Primary Therapist at The Renfrew Center of Charlotte. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Creative Art Therapy, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Ms. Tenny has worked in Residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care in both South Carolina and North Carolina. She is passionate about helping women embrace recovery and find their value outside of their eating disorder.
Emily Vollmer, Renfrew Alumna, began her journey with Renfrew in 2007 after battling an eating disorder off and on for over 6 years. She has always been passionate about giving back to the community. Her fulfillment from a variety of volunteer experiences led her to pursue her dedication on a professional level, when she returned to school to receive her master’s degree in social work (A.M.), with a focus on administration, from the University of Chicago. She also holds her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, with a double major in Marketing and Management. Emily now lives in her hometown of Cincinnati after working in both New York City and Chicago. She is happily married with two young daughters and a rambunctious yellow lab.
