Admissions/UR Coordinator

The Renfrew Center of Baltimore, MD has an immediate opening for a full-time Admissions/Utilization Review Coordinator.

Admissions Responsibilities:  Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and determine diagnosis and appropriate level of care recommendation; complete all relevant admissions chart paperwork and conduct pre-certification with insurance/managed care company; communicate with referring professionals. 

UR Position Responsibilities: Obtain and present information on each patient's clinical progress to managed care companies to include acuity, rationale for continued stay, treatment goals and discharge criteria; maintain accurate and complete documentation.

Additional Responsibilities: Work in a team setting and provide direct patient care as needed (i.e. facilitating groups or therapeutic meals).

Education, Competencies and Credentials:  Licensed Master’s level professional required.  Previous experience working with eating disorder patients is highly preferred.  Prior experience working with or in a managed care company is a plus.

The Renfrew Center of Baltimore, MD has an opening for an on call Dietetic Technician.

Responsibilities: Assist Dietitian in conducting nutrition groups; reviewing daily food journals to assess patients' nutritional intake throughout treatment; work with vendors to facilitate ordering meals for patients; keeping track of the food inventory, and completing meal set up. This position would also assist with nutritional assessments and establishing individual food plans as needed to initiate patients into appropriate eating patterns and making proper menu choices; participating in weekly rounds and mini teams as needed.

The Renfrew Center of Charlotte, NC has an opening for a full-time Site Director.

Responsibilities: Implementation and ongoing management for all components of the site including daily clinical and administrative operations; human resource management; fiscal oversight; oversight of utilization review function, quality management to ensure licensure and accreditation; Provides clinical and administrative leadership to a multi-disciplinary treatment team, clinical supervision and support to Team Leaders; ensures that documentation compliance requirements are met consistently; provides feedback and recommendations regarding clinical program development; reviews level of care assessments and works collaboratively with assessment coordinators; provides assessment, direct care and treatment of patients as needed; assesses the clinical training needs of the staff. A high degree of organizational, analytical and decision-making skills are required.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.  Clinical skills, preferably in behavioral medicine/arts and/or eating disorders are required.  Knowledge of reimbursement issues, including knowledge of managed care environment preferred.  Familiarity with managing budgets and P&L's is preferred.  Competency in use of various computer applications including Microsoft Office and experience with medical management software are preferred.

Education, Competencies and Credentials:

B.A. required. LPN, RN, MSW, MBA or Masters in Human Service Field preferred. 

- Prior experience working with or within a managed care company is useful.

- Prior clinical experience in eating disorders, psychiatric nursing or outpatient therapy preferred. 

- Current state-specific license in nursing or social work preferred.

Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible schedule.
