Timeline
The Renfrew Center Timeline:
1985 → The Renfrew Center, the nation’s first free-standing eating disorder treatment facility, opens its doors in Philadelphia.
1990 → A second residential facility, The Renfrew Center of Florida, opens in Coconut Creek. The Renfrew Center Foundation, a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization is founded with the mission to advance the education, prevention, research and treatment of eating disorders.
1994 → Lower levels of care are developed at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia and Florida. The Renfrew Center of New York opens.
1995 → The Renfrew Center of Northern New Jersey opens.
2000 → The Renfrew Center of Connecticut opens.
2007 → The Renfrew Center of North Carolina, The Renfrew Center of Tennessee and The Renfrew Center of Radnor, PA open. Renfrew House opens at the Philadelphia site.
2009 → The Renfrew Center of Maryland and The Renfrew Center of Texas open.
2010 → Renfrew celebrates its 25th Anniversary.
2012 → The Renfrew Center of Southern New Jersey opens.
2013 → The Renfrew Center of Georgia opens.
